Privacy Policy
Aide: Study Bible, from Bisagroup LLC. Last updated October 21, 2026.
Bisagroup LLC (“we”) makes Aide: Study Bible, a Bible study app for the web, iPhone, iPad and Android. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the app, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information, we do not show advertising, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
What we collect
- Account details. If you create an account: your email address and a password (stored securely by our authentication provider, never in readable form).
- What you save. Highlights, notes, class notes, reading progress, course enrollments and settings, so they are with you on every device. These are private to your account.
- Questions you ask. The Ask feature sends your question, and the passage or lesson you are reading with Aide’s own notes about it, to an AI provider (see below) to prepare an answer. We keep a record of each question’s time, place in the app, model used and cost to control costs and prevent abuse. If you report an answer, we keep the question, the answer and your note so we can review it. Questions that mention you personally are never reused for other readers.
- Purchases. If you subscribe, Apple or Google processes the payment. Our subscription provider, RevenueCat, receives a random app user ID and the purchase status so we can unlock features. We never see your card or Apple ID details.
- Basic technical data. Our hosting providers see standard server logs (IP address, device type, time) when your device connects. We use this to keep the service running and secure.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your contacts, location, photos, microphone, health data or advertising identifiers. You can read the Bible without an account; an account is needed only to save things and to use Ask.
Who helps us (service providers)
- Supabase stores account data, notes and progress.
- Vercel hosts our website and server.
- Anthropic (the AI company behind Claude) prepares Ask answers. Your question and the passage context are sent to Anthropic for that purpose only. Please do not put personal details, such as names or health information, into a question.
- RevenueCat manages subscriptions.
- Expo delivers app updates to your device.
These providers process data on our behalf and under their own privacy and security terms. We share data with them only as needed to run the app.
Retention and deletion
We keep your account and saved items until you delete them. You can delete your account at any time inside the app (Account, then Delete my account) or on the web at /account. Deleting your account removes your email, notes, highlights, progress, enrollments and question history. If you have an active subscription, cancel it first in your Apple ID or Google Play subscriptions, because deleting the account does not cancel billing. You can also email us at samuel.muhumuza@bisagroup.org and we will do it for you.
Children
The app is meant for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your information, or to object to some uses. Contact us at samuel.muhumuza@bisagroup.org and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Security and changes
Data is sent over encrypted connections and access is limited. No system is perfectly secure. If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date above.
